During Engineers Without Borders Norway’s stay at Nyenga an impromptu workshop was held for local contractors. The purpose was to improve sanitary conditions.
Engineers Marte, Richard and Mats visited Nyenga during a mission with Engineers Without Borders Norway. While at Nyenga, they also investigated the quality of the water in the area.
The Nyenga Foundation thinks that good results come through good cooperation! During the summer, we lived up to this thought.
We have asked the local population what their challenges, needs and wishes are for the years to come. Hopefully this will help us when planning our future course.
We are currently developing a program helping youths into work. As of now, three girls are interns at a local hairdresser.
This is Nasali Sylvia, a strong Ugandan woman who for some time has attended Nyenga Foundation`s microfinance program.
